Welcome to DNA, Discover Nordic Adventures sled dog tours and adventures in the Nordic nature. With us, you will be offered an experience of being close to our dogs who will lead you through a beautiful winter landscape.

We are a small family business that prioritizes the personal contact with you as a guest, where you get to work with our dogs and experience an adventure together.
Our dog sled tours are personal and designed for all guests, meaning that you as an inexperienced beginner as well as an experienced driver can participate. All our tours are personal and private, which means that we accept one group at a time for the optimal sled dog adventure for you!

We are located 40 minutes north of Luleå in Jämtön, a village outside Råneå. The nearest airport is Luleå Airport.

The information for the sled dog tours can be given in English, German and Swedish.

About us

Hi, my name is Rasmus and I run the company Discover Nordic Adventures together with my family.

In the late 80s, my parents got sled dogs, which has resulted in me growing up with these amazing animals. It was natural for me to continue on that track and today I own my own draft dogs.

The dogs are very important to me and it is a dream to experience this life together with them. We usually say that the closeness to our dogs and nature is in our DNA.

I was competing in several competitions over the years. At first I ran competitions with shorter distances and over time developed an interest in longer distances. In 2018 I ran my first long distance race, the Beaver Trap Trail which is 250 km long.

We are grateful to experience these adventures together with our four-legged friends in the Nordic nature.

Tours / Prices

It is possible to book tours from December to April

All our tours are personal and private, which means that we accept one group at a time for the optimal sled dog adventure for you!

The information for the sled dog tours can be given in English, German and Swedish.

Sleddog-tours

Short tour (2h)
Starttimes: 10.00 & 14.00 (+-30min)

Included: instruction, biscuit & coffee. We stop during the tour for a warming drink.

Price: SEK 2100/pers. Children under 12 pay half price

Long tour (4h)
Starttime: 09.30 & 15.30 (+-30min)

Included: instruction, preparation with dogs for the trip & food. We stop during the tour for warming food and drinks.

Price: SEK 3600/pers. Children under 12 pay half price

Evening tour (2h)
Starttime: 19.00 (+-30min)

Included: instruction, biscuit & coffee. We stop during the tour for a warming drink.

Price: SEK 2300/pers.
Children under 12 pay half price

Opportunity to experience the Northern Lights

Sled dog tour & Reindeer meeting (3h)

Starttimes: 10.00 & 14.00 (+-30min)

Experience an adventure with our sled dogs and meet reindeers.

Included: Instructions, biscuit and coffee.

We go out on a sled dog tour with our dogs in the Nordic nature. On the way back, we go and visit the reindeers.

Price: SEK 3400/ pers. Children under 12 pay half price.

Sled dog tour & Snow mobile (4h) +-30min

Experience an adventure with our sled dogs and drive a snowmobile.

Here you get the chance to experience tours with sled dogs and snowmobiles.

Included: Instructions, biscuit and coffee.

Price: SEK 4400/ pers. Children under 12 pay half price.

Important to know before the trip

Personal equipment

Warm clothes, i.e. underwear, socks, jacket, coveralls/overalls, scarf, hat, gloves and shoes.

Driving a sled: You drive your own dog team with your friend on the sled, where you can take turns with each other.

Be a passenger: A guide drives the sled while you enjoy the ride on the sled.
