Välkommen till DNA, Discover Nordic Adventures slädhundsturer och äventyr i den nordiska naturen. Hos oss blir ni erbjudna en upplevelse med närhet till våra draghundar som tar er fram genom ett vackert vinterlandskap.

Vi är ett litet familjärt företag som prioriterar den personliga kontakten med er som gäst, där ni får samarbeta med våra hundar och tillsammans uppleva ett äventyr.
Våra slädhundsturer är personliga och utformade för alla gäster, det vill säga att du som oerfaren nybörjare såväl som erfaren förare kan delta. Alla våra turer är personliga och privata, vilket innebär att vi tar emot en grupp i taget för det optimala slädhunds-äventyret för er!

Vi befinner oss 40 minuter norr om Luleå i Jämtön, en by utanför Råneå. Närmsta flygplats är Luleå Airport.

Om oss

Hej, jag heter Rasmus och driver företaget Discover Nordic Adventures tillsammans med min familj.

I slutet på 80-talet skaffade mina föräldrar slädhundar, vilket har resulterat i att jag är uppvuxen med dessa fantastiska djur. För mig föll det sig naturligt att fortsätta på det spåret och idag äger jag mina egna draghundar.

Hundarna har en stor betydelse för mig och det är en dröm att få uppleva detta liv tillsammans med dem. Vi brukar säga att närheten till våra hundar och naturen finns i vårt DNA.

Jag har kört flertalet tävlingar genom åren. Till en början har jag kört tävlingar med kortare distanser och med tiden utvecklades ett intresse för längre distanser. År 2018 körde jag min första långdistanstävling, Beaver Trap Trail som är 250 km lång.

Vi är tacksamma att få uppleva dessa äventyr tillsammans med våra fyrbenta vänner i den nordiska naturen.

Tours / Prices

It is possible to book tours from December to April

All our tours are personal and private, which means that we accept one group at a time for the optimal sled dog adventure for you!

The information for the sled dog tours can be given in English, German and Swedish.

Sleddog-tours

Short tour (2h)
Starttimes: 10.00 & 14.00 (+-30min)

Included: instruction, biscuit & coffee. We stop during the tour for a warming drink.

Price: SEK 2100/pers. Children under 12 pay half price

Long tour (4h)
Starttime: 09.30 & 15.30 (+-30min)

Included: instruction, preparation with dogs for the trip & food. We stop during the tour for warming food and drinks.

Price: SEK 3600/pers. Children under 12 pay half price

Evening tour (2h)
Starttime: 19.00 (+-30min)

Included: instruction, biscuit & coffee. We stop during the tour for a warming drink.

Price: SEK 2300/pers.
Children under 12 pay half price

Opportunity to experience the Northern Lights

Sled dog tour & Reindeer meeting (3h)

Starttimes: 10.00 & 14.00 (+-30min)

Experience an adventure with our sled dogs and meet reindeers.

Included: Instructions, biscuit and coffee.

We go out on a sled dog tour with our dogs in the Nordic nature. On the way back, we go and visit the reindeers. You will also get to meet and see cows and horses.

Price: SEK 3100/ pers. Children under 12 pay half price.

Sled dog tour & Snow mobile (4h) +-30min

Experience an adventure with our sled dogs and drive a snowmobile.

Here you get the chance to experience tours with sled dogs and snowmobiles.

Included: Instructions, biscuit and coffee.

Price: SEK 4400/ pers. Children under 12 pay half price.

Sled Dog Tour & Ice Fishing (4h)

Start times: 10.00 & 14.00 (+-30min)

Experience an adventure with our sled dogs and try ice fishing.

Sled dog tour & Ice fishing included: instructions, sweets & coffee.

Here you will have the opportunity to experience a trip with sled dogs and ice fishing.

During the sled dog tour, we make our way through the Nordic nature with our four-legged friends. After the sled dog tour, we set off and head out on the frozen sea to fish through the ice.

Price: SEK 3000/pers. Children under 12 pay half price.

Visit a farm (1h- 2h)

(+-30min)

Visit a farm and meet reindeers, cows and horses.

Included: sweets and coffee.

We go out into the northern winter to visit a farm.

On the farm you will meet and look at the animals. Reindeers, cows and horses. We show you around the farm and tell you about the animals.

Sweets and coffee are offered in a small cabin.

Price: SEK 1000/ pers. Children under 12 years old pay half price.

Important to know before the trip

Personal equipment

Warm clothes, i.e. underwear, socks, jacket, coveralls/overalls, scarf, hat, gloves and shoes.

Driving a sled: You drive your own dog team with your friend on the sled, where you can take turns with each other.

Be a passenger: A guide drives the sled while you enjoy the ride on the sled.
